The DIAMOND Research Project – Insight into Digital Plant Planning

The DIAMOND research project develops and tests a common, flexible data model as well as modern data exchange through shared data spaces. The focus is not only on technical solutions but also on the involved organizations and the specific needs of the companies. A central focus of the EU and federal government-funded project with a total of 23 consortium partners is the process of plant planning and construction in the automotive industry.

Access to the Project Results

All interested individuals have the opportunity to access the research results. In the download section, you will find, among other things, LIPOK analyses (Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Customer) for various areas of plant creation, including:

• Mechanical design (MCAD)
• Electrical design (ECAD)
• PLC programming
• Robot simulation
• Layout planning

Additionally, process descriptions for the mentioned processes in plant development in the automotive industry are available. Furthermore, information on TGA (Technical Building Equipment) and virtual commissioning can also be accessed.
